Tamworth Football Club is one of Tamworth's proudest exports; a club that's taken the borough's name onto the national stage, and one with real ambition for where it goes next.
"Owning the ground they play on fits exactly with the direction cabinet set out in our Strategic Asset Management Plan; backing the people and organisations driving Tamworth forward to invest in their own futures, on their own terms.
"As with any sale of council land, this would need to go through a full governance process, including independent valuation and cabinet approval, and any agreement would carry conditions. No terms have been agreed, but we're ready at the table to discuss and look forward to working with Tamworth Football Club as this progresses."
