The FREE annual festival is one of the highlights of Tamworth Borough Council’s impressive calendar of outdoor events, drawing thousands of visitors from across the country.

The Grand Medieval Joust is back by popular demand. Audiences will be able to watch the action unfold as St George competes with knights on horseback take to the main arena to show off their jousting skills. Fun displays guaranteed, full of laughs and action, trick riding and stunts, with skilled performances from stunning horses and knights in shining armour.

Look out for ‘The Warriors’ as they put on a combat display followed by a session dispelling myths of battle. With big dynamic and overly dramatic fight scenes, this new for 2026 show, is filled with humour and myth-busting.

‘The Dragon Princess’ will also be at this year’s event, with tales of how one brave princess and a not-so-brave knight came to save a kingdom from a troublesome dragon. This show features a giant walking dragon, followed by a parade from the local scout groups that will finish in the main arena to conduct the Scout Promised at 1pm.

The Community Games returns in the grounds offering various activities from local providers and clubs. They will bring together families in a friendly setting, to create opportunities for both adults and children to try different sporting activities regardless of age or ability. Complete activities and collect stickers to earn your very own Community Games medal.

Food vendors will be on site selling hot and cold food and drinks, along with community and local business stalls selling treats and artisan items. Plus, the day would not be complete without Barkers Fun Fair in the grounds.
