Open Air Concerts will return to Tamworth this summer, playing four consecutive nights from Thursday 8 to Sunday 11 August.
Tamworth Borough Council and ShowPlanr (formerly MRC Presents) have teamed up again to bring outdoor concerts back to Tamworth Castle Grounds following the success of last year's events.
Building on last year's three-night offering, a fourth night has been added for 2024, with the concerts now running from Thursday to Sunday, featuring an eclectic line-up ranging from an orchestral take on iconic rock anthems, to country music, pop nostalgia and all things musical theatre. The full line-up includes:
- Thursday 8 August: London Symphonic Rock Orchestra
- Friday 9 August: Country Superstars and The Dolly & Kenny Experience
- Saturday 10 August: The George Michael Legacy and 80s Mania
- Sunday 11 August: Defying Gravity - West End Women with special guests Richard and Adam
Early Bird tickets go on sale general sale on Tuesday 21 May at 10am, with day tickets from just £27 (plus booking fee) and weekend tickets from only £55 (plus booking fee). Early Bird offers run until 21 June, whilst new for 2024 are premium upgrade tickets, offering use of a ShowPlanr deck chair in a prime seating location.

Stephen Gabriel, Chief Executive for Tamworth Borough Council, said: "After the huge success of last year’s ‘Open Air Concerts,’ Tamworth Borough Council wanted to be able to bring another live stage to our stunning Castle Grounds this August for an extended weekend of live outdoor music.
“We are delighted to work in partnership with concert promoters ShowPlanr, as they announce a line-up of top tribute acts to the Castle Grounds for four nights of top performers in the main arena for the grounds.
“From rock orchestra to country music; George Michael to 80s mania and West End classics; there’s something for all music fans to enjoy.
“We can’t wait to see you all in the grounds for a weekend of fabulous tribute acts, don’t forget to bring your dancing shoes!”
Gates will open from 5pm each evening, with shows starting at 7pm and finishing at approximately 10pm. Attendees can bring their own cold soft drinks and snacks into the event arena, with food and drink also available to purchase on site. The events are general admission and customers are welcome to bring their own rug or camping chair (chair provided when premium upgrade is purchased).
