Call out for stall holders to join Tamworth’s St George’s Day extravaganza

  • Stall holder spaces available
  • Thousands predicted to attend free annual event
  • Family fun will see jousting, horseback stunts, a dragon and Community Games

The countdown is on to Tamworth’s FREE annual St George’s festival with lots of entertainment and activities on offer for the whole family. Medieval fun, sporting activities and the well-known festival favourites will take over the Castle Grounds on Saturday 20 April, from 11am – 5pm.

With thousands of people flocking to the grounds each year for Tamworth Borough Council’s annual festival celebration, visitors can enjoy a variety of craft and food stalls, along with a host of activities taking place through-out the day.

Spaces are available for stall holders and traders on the day; whether you sell handmade crafts, tasty baked treats, or gifts, there is a space for you. Contact Tamworth Borough Council at TAROutdoorevents@tamworth.gov.uk to book your stall.

Councillor Tina Clements, Portfolio Holder for Engagement, Leisure and Events, said: “St George’s Day is one of Tamworth’s most exciting events and the council is always working hard to offer new attractions to entertain the crowds and maintain the excitement of the day.

“We already have stall holders and food vendors booked, but there are spaces available for more, so we’d love to welcome even more local and small businesses to join us at this fantastic event.

“The event is a great opportunity to promote small businesses as many people of all ages attend the event. We look forward to welcoming and supporting new and existing local businesses and traders, to what is guaranteed to be a fun day out.”

The day is already set up to be a great family day out. Join the fun with jousting performances, dragons and even the opportunity to take part in sports and activities as the Community Games will be in the grounds all day to offer a variety of activities from local providers and clubs.
