Tamworth Borough Council is inviting comedy fans to round off the summer with an evening of top-class stand-up as the Live at the Assems Comedy Festival Finale arrives at Tamworth Assembly Rooms on Tuesday 29 September.
Featuring a stellar line-up of some of the UK's most recognisable comedy talents, the event promises a night of laughs, stories and sharp observations from comedians regularly seen on television and heard on national radio.
Hosted by Scott Bennett, the evening will also feature performances from Justin Moorhouse and Nathan Caton, bringing together three established names from the UK comedy circuit for one unforgettable show.
Scott Bennett has become one of Britain's most sought-after stand-up comedians, with appearances on Live at the Apollo, Mock the Week, The Royal Variety Performance and BBC Radio 4 favourites including The News Quiz and The Now Show. Scott has also supported comedy giants including Rob Brydon, Jason Manford, John Bishop and Mickey Flanagan on major UK tours.
Joining him is Justin Moorhouse, known to many as Young Kenny from the hit comedy series Phoenix Nights. A familiar face on programmes including QI, Richard Osman's House of Games, Live at the Apollo and Countdown. Justin has built a reputation as one of the country's most consistently entertaining performers.
Completing the line-up is Nathan Caton, whose blend of personal storytelling and social commentary has made him a popular headliner across the UK comedy scene. Nathan has appeared on Live at the Apollo and Mock the Week, written for children's television and, more recently, joined the cast of The Rocky Horror Show as narrator for its UK tour.
