Councillor Lewis Smith, portfolio holder for people services, engagement, leisure and heritage, said: “It was fantastic to see so many families and visitors come together for Tamworth's Family Fun Festival on Sunday. The Castle Grounds were filled with laughter, music and smiling faces throughout the day, creating a wonderful atmosphere that perfectly showcased what our community is all about.
“From the tribute acts on the festival stage and the dinosaur walks to the circus workshops, bubble artist, stilt walkers and the wide range of family activities, there was truly something for everyone to enjoy. It was especially heartwarming to see children making memories with their families in such a beautiful setting.
“Events like the Family Fun Festival are so important because they bring people together, encourage families to spend quality time outdoors and support our vibrant local community. The enthusiasm and positive feedback we've received shows just how much these events are valued.
“I'd like to say a huge thank you to everyone who attended, as well as to all the performers, activity providers, community groups, volunteers and council staff who worked so hard to make the day such a success. Their dedication made sure the event ran smoothly and gave thousands of people a memorable day out.
“We're proud to host events like this in Tamworth and look forward to welcoming everyone back for more exciting community events in the future."
