Tamworth Borough Council is delighted to announce an action-packed schedule of family-friendly events taking place this Easter at Tamworth Castle and the Assembly Rooms. From thrilling dragon hunts to spectacular live performances, there’s something for everyone to enjoy during the Easter break.

Ruby’s Easter egg hunt at Tamworth Castle - Saturday 28 March to Sunday 12 April (every day)

Ruby the Castle Dragon needs your help this Easter. Ruby has hidden her precious eggs to keep them safe from a sneaky dragon hunter, but they’re so well disguised that even she can’t find them! 

Visit Tamworth Castle for a self-guided treasure hunt where young dragon-spotters will search the castle, solve clues, and reunite Ruby with her hidden eggs. As a reward for completing the trail, participants will receive a special treat!

Included in general admission. No pre-booking required. (Please note: This is a self-guided trail with no live character interaction.)

Wicked: For Good (PG) - Tuesday 31 March

Come along for a magical movie experience with Wicked: For Good, the second part of the Wicked Witch of the West story. Follow Elphaba’s journey and her complex relationship with Glinda the Good Witch in this adaptation of the iconic Broadway musical. Perfect for kids and families alike.

The Utterly Revolting Science Show - Wednesday 1 April

Prepare for a hilarious, highly explosive science spectacular. The Rude Science team presents a riotous journey through the human body, featuring burp biology, fart physics, and revolting edible chemistry. 

This interactive, educational, and utterly disgusting show is perfect for curious minds of all ages. Get ready for loud noises, explosive experiments, and a whole lot of laughs!

Show Times: 11.30am and 3pm. Ticket Price: £17.50 adult, £15.50 child.

Lilo and Stitch (U) - Friday 3 April 

Visit the Assembly Rooms this Easter for a heartwarming and adventurous family film as we screen Lilo and Stitch. This live action remake follows a lonely Hawaiian girl who befriends a runaway alien and helps mend her fractured family. 

Bring the whole family to enjoy this timeless tale of friendship and fun.

Ticket Price: £5. Doors open at 11am, screening starts at 12 noon. 

Alice in Wonderland – pantomime - Thursday 9 April 

Hot Rock Productions brings the classic tale of Alice in Wonderland to life in a vibrant, fun-filled family pantomime. With stunning scenery, colourful costumes, and catchy tunes, join Alice as she navigates the peculiar world of Wonderland to stop the evil Queen of Hearts from stealing her Jam Tart recipe! A whimsical and unforgettable experience for all ages.

Ticket Price: £16.50 adult, £14.50 concession/child. Show time 2pm.

The Chicago Blues Brothers live concert - Saturday 28 March 

Celebrating 45 years of the legendary Blues Brothers, The Chicago Blues Brothers are back, and they’re taking the stage by storm. This high-energy live concert is a musical celebration that blends electrifying blues, foot-stomping country classics, and some unforgettable surprises. 

With iconic hits from the Blues Brothers movies, along with timeless country anthems, this performance will have you clapping, dancing, and singing along all night long.

Ticket Price: £31. Doors open at 6.30pm, show starts at 7.30pm.

Bathory Pro Wrestling – No Holds Barred - Sunday 29 March 

Brace yourselves for an evening of action-packed entertainment as Bathory Pro Wrestling returns to Tamworth Assembly Rooms. Featuring hard-hitting matches and intense drama, this event is sure to keep fans on the edge of their seats. 

Whether you’re a die-hard wrestling fan or new to the sport, this high-octane show promises to deliver thrills for the whole family.

Ticket Prices: VIP Ringside - £14 adult, £12 child; General Admission - £12 adult, £10 child Doors open at 3.30pm, show starts at 4pm.
