Tamworth Borough Council is giving shoppers even more reasons to visit the town centre this December with three free parking Saturdays – on 6, 13 and 20 December.
The free parking initiative aims to boost local trade and encourage people to shop local, while enjoying everything the Christmas in Tamworth programme has to offer.
Councillor Nova Arkney, portfolio holder for infrastructure and the local economy for Tamworth Borough Council, said: “Supporting our businesses is so important, especially at this busy time of year. By offering free parking across the three Saturdays leading up to Christmas, we hope to make it easier for people to shop, dine and enjoy the festivities in the town centre.
“We want residents and visitors to make the most of the season, explore the markets, visit Tamworth Castle and experience the festive fun across the town.”
The town centre will host a packed schedule of festive entertainment, including a festive village, Christmas films, Santa shows, variety performances, party night extravaganzas and craft markets in Ankerisde Shopping Centre. Find out more here: https://www.visittamworth.co.uk/whats-on
Tamworth Castle is open on all three free parking Saturdays, offering a magical festive experience with Santa’s Christmas Castle and Santa Paws events taking place on those dates - perfect for families and pet lovers alike. Please note the free parking offer only applies to Tamworth Borough Council carparks, it does not apply at Ankerside, Tamworth Station, Namco and Snowdome.
