We have a range of buildings and outdoor spaces available as filming locations for TV and film productions, including award-winning parks and bandstand, a Victorian theatre, 18th century town hall and a Norman motte and bailey castle, as well as interesting modern and period spaces.
For television and movie filming requests, including requests for drone filming, please contact Film Birmingham who handle these requests on behalf of Tamworth Borough Council. https://filmbirmingham.co.uk
For news and media filming requests, including television news and documentary filming, please email communications@tamworth.gov.uk with your request, including location, dates and times.
Filming with drones
All drone flying and filming must be in accordance with the regulations from the Civil Aviation Authority (CAA) including holding the relevant Operator ID and Flyer ID - Full details available on their website: https://www.caa.co.uk/drones/
Please note that several public events are held in Tamworth castle grounds throughout the year where crowds may be present. We also strongly advise against flying directly over Tamworth Castle building as there are open areas where the public cannot easily move from in an emergency.
