Tamworth Borough Council is thrilled to announce a taste of some of the new incredible show’s coming to the Assembly Rooms this year, filled with a diverse mix of live music, family-friendly fun, and unmissable entertainment.

From legendary tribute bands to interactive science shows, and a new cheeky adult pantomime, there's something for everyone to enjoy at our theatre. Here's a peek at some of the must-see new acts for 2026.

The Phonics – Saturday 24 January 2026
The UK’s Premier Stereophonics Tribute Band.
Don’t miss The Phonics, the closest you’ll get to seeing the legendary Stereophonics live! From ‘Dakota’ and ‘Maybe Tomorrow’ to ‘Handbags & Gladrags’, their incredible performance captures all the energy and passion of the original band. With new tracks from their upcoming album ‘Keep the Village Alive’, this show is a must for Stereophonics fans old and new.

The Smiths Ltd – Saturday 21 February 2026
The Ultimate Tribute to The Smiths.
For indie fans, The Smiths Ltd is the tribute show you’ve been waiting for. Bringing the magic of Morrissey and Johnny Marr back to the stage, this band has been wowing audiences nationwide, performing hits like ‘This Charming Man’ and ‘There Is a Light That Never Goes Out’. Dino Tales – Jurassic Rescue – Sunday 22 February 2026
Family Fun for February Half-Term.
This February, embark on an unforgettable family adventure in Dino Tales, a show that brings Europe’s largest walking dinosaurs to the stage! As dinosaur rangers, you’ll join forces with a team of prehistoric creatures, including Freya the dancing Raptor and Roxy the mighty T-Rex, on a daring mission to rescue a baby Ankylosaurus. Adult Pantomime – 12-14 March 2026
The Wizard of Oz – Adults Only!
The much-loved adult pantomime returns for its 8th year with a cheeky twist on The Wizard of Oz! Follow Dorothy, the Horny Scarecrow, the Butch Tinman, and the Camp Cowardly Lion on a hilarious journey to the Land of Oz, where they’ll face off against the Wicked B!tch of the West in an outrageous, adults-only pantomime filled with laughs and naughty surprises.

The Utterly Revolting Science Show – Wednesday 1 April 2026
Easter Family Fun!
Looking for something a little wacky this Easter? The Utterly Revolting Science Show is a riotous, high-energy exploration of the human body – packed with burp biology, fart physics, and explosive chemistry. The Rude Science team will keep kids and adults laughing with demonstrations involving edible fireworks, the world’s loudest fart, and more. It’s science, but not as you know it!

The Counterfeit 70s Show – Saturday 25 April 2026
The Ultimate 70s Experience.
Relive the music of the 70s with The Counterfeit 70s Show, featuring hits from T.Rex, Slade, Sweet, and The Bay City Rollers. This high-energy tribute show takes you on a musical journey through a decade that defined glam rock, disco, and new wave. Get ready to dance, sing, and rock out to the biggest 70s anthems of all time.

Diddy David Hamilton – Saturday 30 May 2026
66 Years of Legendary TV & Radio.
Join legendary broadcaster ‘Diddy’ David Hamilton for a star-studded show celebrating his 66-year career in TV and radio. From working with The Beatles and The Rolling Stones, to playing football with Elton John and Rod Stewart, David Hamilton has been at the heart of entertainment history. This is a once-in-a-lifetime chance to hear his behind-the-scenes stories and relive the magic of some of the biggest names in showbiz.
