Heart of Tamworth / Sacred Heart Church
Heart of Tamworth runs a community food pantry, The HoT Shop (not a foodbank, open 6 days each week), the HoT Cafe (you're guaranteed a friendly welcome and great food and drink, open Monday - Friday, 8am-4pm) and lots of activities and social groups. In addition, various advice and support services are available. For more information call into the Sacred Heart Community Centre, Glascote or call 01827 769403.
Citizens Advice Mid Mercia
Citizens Advice are now running a drop-in advice service at the Sacred Heart Church. The sessions run on a Monday from 9.30am-1.30pm. The drop-in will be for basic advice and information and a further appointment may be needed for complex issues. The drop-in is free and confidential for people living in Tamworth.
Tamworth Libraries (Town Centre & Glascote)
Join us for scrabble club! A fun friendly group who enjoys wordplay and a cuppa. Meets in Glascote library 1st Friday of the month at 2 pm. Telephone for more information: 01827 782122

Enjoy a coffee and a chat at Tamworth Library’s Places of Welcome, every Thursday 2pm-4pm. Please note that Tamworth Library will be moving to temporary accommodation at 56a Albert Road (the former Adult and Community Centre), from October until Spring. Places of Welcome will be accessed via a flight of stairs.
Community Together CIC – The Hub
The hub situated in the heart of Tamworth Castle Grounds B79 7ND (the old swimming baths) offers low-cost refreshments, daily activities including walking group, cycling group, arts and crafts, cuppa and chat, Scatagories Games Group, Befriending lunches, pram walks, pottery painting and much more. Were open 10am to 3pm Monday to Friday. Always a friendly volunteer to chat to, just nip in for a cuppa. Pop in for one of our timetables.
Community Together CIC – Front Desk Support
People who have an issue and need help and support can pop into our front desk service at our offices on Orchard Street, Tamworth Town Centre near the Council Offices B79 7RE Open Monday to Friday 9am to 5pm.
We can help to connect you to the right services, typical enquiries include help with form filling, Befriending, Unemployment Support, Mental Health Support, arranging Food Parcels, seeking Energy advice, Hygiene Packs, accessing support groups, finding out about social activities, homeless advice and guidance, support with debt issues, substance misuse issues and much more.

Beat the Cold
Beat the Cold are a Staffordshire based charity, whose aim is to reduce fuel poverty, and cold related ill health. They have over 20 years’ experience in energy advice and support. They can help with;
- Energy advice to reduce bills and support with energy debt.
- Income maximisation - Ensure residents they are claiming everything they can.
- Assisting clients to access schemes to improve the energy efficiency of their homes and other government schemes they are entitled to.
- Help with emergency payments such as fuel vouchers and foodbank vouchers.
- Register for Priority services register and support with your water bills.
