Elections 2015

This year, the Local election and a Parliamentary election were on Thursday 7 May.

The ballots for the Parliamentary General Election were counted overnight on Thursday 7 May.

The ballots for the Local Election were counted on Friday 8 May, beginning at 4pm. The results are linked below:

The Council is now made up of 18 Conservative councillors, 11 Labour councillors and one UK Independence Party (UKIP) councillors

A meeting for potential election candidates and agents for Local and Parliamentary elections took place on Wednesday March 11.

Election Deadlines

Last day for applications to be included on the register of electors in order to vote in the elections.

20 April 2015

Last day for requests for a new postal vote or to change or cancel an existing postal vote or proxy appointment

5:00pm on 21 April 2015

Last day for new applications to vote by proxy (except for medical emergencies)

5:00pm on 28 April 2015

Last day for new applications to vote by proxy on grounds of medical emergency or by reason of employment
