Dogs

Most dog owners are responsible and caring; however feedback from the public consistently raises the issue of dog fouling. We now have Public Space Protection Orders (PSPOs) in place to deal with dog related complaints

These make it easier for us to deal quickly and efficiently with irresponsible dog owners and help to encourage a culture of responsible dog ownership. It is only in formal play areas and specific locations where dogs must be on a lead. This means we support responsible dog ownership in public spaces, while acknowledging dogs need to roam free under the control of their owners.

Penalties

Breaches of any of the orders may result in the issue of a Fixed Penalty Notice of £100. These can be issued by authorised council officers. Payment must be made within 28 days. You can Pay It Online
