Tamworth Borough Council, working with market provider LSD Promotions, is thrilled to launch two new monthly themed market days. The new markets add to the existing popular weekly Tuesday and Saturday markets in Tamworth town centre.
‘Art Tuesdays’ will take place on the first Tuesday of every month and will launch on 7 May 2024. This initiative is aimed at artists and makers of all kinds from across the Midlands looking for a platform to elevate their creative business. Products sold on these stalls must be entirely handmade or represent a local venue/creative organisation.
‘Young Trader Tuesdays’ will launch on 21 May 2024 and will take place on the third Tuesday of every month. Any trader aged 18-30 with a passion for turning a hobby into a business venture, or a small business owner looking for a cost-effective way of engaging with new potential customers is encouraged to join.
All traders must have their own public liability insurance and at the time of booking with the Customer Service Team at LSD Promotions, assistance will be provided with risk assessment requirements.
The two new market days, supported through UK Shared Prosperity Funding, will enable aspiring entrepreneurs and artists to showcase their talents and products with a FREE market stall. This low-cost, low-risk avenue to connect with customers face to face also provides opportunities to elevate their brand, raise the profile of their business and gain valuable exposure and experience.
Stephen Gabriel, Chief Executive of Tamworth Borough Council, said: “We are thrilled to be working with LSD Promotions on these two new market day initiatives, adding to our already popular Tamworth town centre market and other specialist market events such as the Dine and Devour happening on the 4 and 5 May.
“It is hoped that these new additional themed markets will support new and small businesses to flourish and encourage more visitors to the town.”
