Transport and Streets
Staffordshire County Council looks after the roads, pavements
and street lighting in Tamworth (and all over Staffordshire). They
have over 3,077 miles of roads, over 100,000 road lighting units
and illuminated signs and 270 pedestrian and traffic control
facilities.
The following services are provided by Staffordshire County
Council:
- Pavements - dangerous paving, paving stone theft.
- Pedestrian Crossings
- Road Markings - cycle lanes, new road signs, red routes, speed
humps, street name plates, yellow lines.
- Roads and Highways - canals, flooding, drains and gullies,
access requests, closures and diversions, road works, personal
injury, potholes, street furniture, gritting, snow clearance,
walls, verges, spillages.
- Public Rights of Way

From 5 April 2010, people that have reached qualifying age and
certain disabled persons are entitled to free off-peak
travel on buses anywhere in England.
