Planning application forms
Applicants are being encouraged to submit their application
electronically through the Planning Portal. It is worth noting
that although the site facilitates submission of a complete
application electronically, applicants and agents are able to
complete and submit only the application form electronically and
forward the accompanying plans and payment by post. For further
information relating to online submissions or to submit an
application online, visit the Planning Portal
website.
Alternatively, application forms can be downloaded and completed
by hand. Follow the link in the 'more information' section on
the right.
It is important that you submit the correct plans and supporting
information with your application. For further advice, please refer
to our Guidance
Notes for the Validation of Planning Applications. Any
application submitted without the required information will be
returned as invalid and will only be registered when all required
information has been submitted.
A Design and Access Statement is required for all
non-householder planning applications (with the exception of
applications for change of use and advertisement consent). A
householder planning application will only require a
Design and Access Statement if the property is within a
Conservation Area. For further advice on the specific
requirements of a Design and Access Statement, please use the link
in the 'more information' section on the right hand side of this
page.
Following Standing Advice issued by the Environment Agency, we
are now requesting Flood Risk Assessments for applications for
developments which fall within the floodzones. The level of
detail varies according to type and scale of development. To
find out if your property lies within a floodzone, please contact
us prior to submitting your application. Alternatively, the
Environment
Agency website contains all relevant
information. A link to their Flood Risk Standing Advice can be
found in the 'more information' section on the
right. Following the links in the step by step guidance within
this document will lead to the relevant advice note for your
proposal.
Ordnance Survey based location plans and block plans are
required for all planning applications. We can provide these plans
for you at a small charge. Use the link to the right for further
information on products, pricing and how to order.
Should you have any queries or need help in choosing the
relevant application form, please contact the Planning
department on 01827 709282 or by e-mailing planningadmin@tamworth.gov.uk
