Hello and welcome, if you've arrived at that
this page it’s likely you want to give us feedback. We'd like to
encourage you as much as possible to tell us what you think of our
services.
A complaint may be about a lack of response,
delays in service, ongoing problems and/or about behaviour of
council employees. It includes –
- Doing something wrong
Doing something that we should not have done
Failing to do something we should have done
Behaving unfairly, discourteously or discriminatory
Not carrying out a service to an agreed standard
Not replying to a request for service within its stated
timescale

compliment, comment or complaint about any of our services. If you

than happy to assist you.
You can make a complaint in person, by letter,
by phone, e-mail or fax. Any member of staff, or Councillor will
take your complaint.
When you make a complaint we will –
- Respond within seven days. Complex complaints
may take longer, a maximum of 21 days is allowed for a complaint to
be investigated.
Give responsibility of the appropriate Head of Service or Assistant
Director.
Deal with the complaint fairly, consistently, impartially and
without malice to anyone who has made a complaint.
Advise you that if you are dissatisfied with the outcome of your
complaint you must identify which parts of the complaint you feel
have not been addressed and asked for a stage three
complaint.
Ensure all stage three complaints will be here heard by senior
managers within 21 days and the outcome will be notified within
seven days of the decision.
Compliments are very welcome. We like to know
what we are doing well. We share all compliments with the staff
involved.
We listen and learn from comments as well as
compliments and complaints. Comments about how we can alter or
improve can lead to a change in process, policy, actions, activity,
or literature and material. We think we're doing things right,
so unless you tell us we may carry on doing the same. What you tell
us can really make a difference, we can't change everything, but
what we can - we will.
