FIRST AID AT WORK

Would you like to learn first aid? Be able to use first aid equipment? Then come along on this course and get qualified.

It is a 4 day course including examination.

By the end of the four days you will:-

·        Be able to act safely, promptly and effectively when an emergency occurs at work

·        Learn how to use First Aid Equipment including the contents of a First Aid box

·        Know the legal framework and duties of employers in relation to First Aid in the workplace

·        Understand record keeping

·        Demonstrate personal hygiene when performing First Aid procedures

There are no pre-requisites for people taking the course.

Emergency First Aid for the Appointed Person

This is a one day course for any people who are going to be nominated as the first aider in their workplace.

Paediatric First Aid

This is a two day course specifically addressing the needs of the Appointed Person with the early years setting, meets Ofsted requirements for first aid courses.

Emergency First Aid for Schools

This is a one day course for designated first aiders within the school environment.

Save a Baby Classes

These two hour sessions are fro parents or guardians of young children, learning what to do in an emergency when an infant chokes, stops breathing or drowns.

Community Life Support Classes

This two hour sessions teaches people the basic resuscitation process, 9 out of 10 people do not know what to do in an emergency.

Specialised Resuscitation Programmes (Oxygen Therapy and Defibrillation)

The Automated Emergency Defibrillator (AED) training can be provided in the workplace and to First Responder Teams in the community where ambulance access may be delayed.
