Tamworth's Award Winning Shopmobility is based on level 5 of the Ankerside Car Park which has a height restriction of 5ft 9in. There are several parking spaces that are reserved next to the Shopmobility unit for people using the equipment.

The unit is open Monday - Saturday 9.00am - 5.00pm (closed Bank Holidays).
All equipment must be returned to the unit by 4.30pm.
No equipment will be hired after 4pm. 

Shopmobility loans out equipment to people with either a permanent or a temporary disability.

YOU DO NOT NEED TO BE REGISTERED DISABLED OR HOLD A BLUE BADGE TO USE THE EQUIPMENT.

We have powered scooters (3 and 4 wheel), powered wheelchairs and manual wheelchairs. The powered equipment is for use in the town centre ONLY, it is not to be taken to Ventura Park, in case of breakdown.
We also have a limited number of manual wheelchairs that can be loaned out for holiday use, up to 3 weeks at a time. The wheelchairs cannot be taken abroad.

It is advisable to book in advance to avoid disappointment. Groups that require several wheelchairs will need to book at least 7 days in advance.

Hire Charges
£17.00 annual membership
You can use the equipment as many times as you wish within the 12 month period. Parking costs are also included whilst using the equipment.
£1.50 per session for casual users.
Parking costs are NOT included.

Holiday Hire Charges
£1.50 per day for 1 to 6 days hire.
£13.75 weekly from 6 to 21 days hire.
To register as a member and for holiday hire you will need proof of address, eg utility bill, driving licence plus photographic evidence, eg, passport, blue badge.

£1.50 per session for casual users (any subsequent equipment hire within same Monday to Sunday period a charge of £1.00 will apply)

£15.00 per week from 7 to 21 days hire
