Wilnecote Free Swimming!

Free swimming for all age groups is now available Wilnecote Community Leisure Centre.

Everyone - regardless of age - will be able to take advantage of the public sessions. Currently Tamworth Borough Council supports free swimming at Wilnecote leisure centre for the under 16s and over 60s.

By investing a further £15,000 into the scheme, everyone will be able to take advantage of the swimming sessions free of charge, which will take place every day at the 20 metre pool. Adults pay £2.70 for a swim, meaning people who swim twice a week could save £280 a year.

Wilnecote Community Leisure Centre is adapted for people with disabilities and around 5,000 people currently use the pool. The centre has the capacity for many more swimmers. 

Currently the sessions are as follows:

Monday - adult swim: 6pm - 7pm

Tuesday - adult swim: 6pm - 7pm

Wednesday - adult swim: 6pm - 7pm & 8pm - 9pm

Thursday - adult swim: 6pm - 7pm & family swim: 7pm - 8pm

Friday - adult swim: 6pm - 7pm

Saturday - family swim: 2pm - 3pm

Sunday – women’s swim: 10am – 11am; family swim: 11am - 12noon
