Training and Development
Tamworth Borough Council is committed to ensuring its employees
are equipped with the right skills to carry out their role within
the Authority. There are a number of courses available to all
employees across the Authority covering a wide selection of
subjects to cater for all training needs.
Each member of staff has a performance development review
annually, which allows Tamworth Borough Council to identify and
prioritise corporate training needs, enabling the production of
departmental and corporate training plans.
Professional Development
Professional Development Qualification's have a crucial role to
play in enabling Tamworth Borough Council to support and develop
employees to ensure that they reach their potential, have the right
skills to carry out their duties, assist with succession planning
and also meet the needs of the Authority.
The scope of the scheme with Tamworth Borough Council covers
recognised Professional Qualifications, Higher Education
Qualifications and also those employees undertaking National
Vocational Qualifications or equivalent.
