Leaving in a Hurry?
teenage distress

If things have gone wrong, and you have had to leave in a hurry don’t despair, if possible try and take with you all or most of the following:

Passport or any ID that you have. Including driving/provisional license, birth certificate, something with your name and previous address on.

national insurance number

if you’re working some wage slips to show your earnings.

Clothes, especially underwear, personal belongings, mobile phone and charger and anything else that you can.

Try and get to connexions, social services (if under 18) or the borough council as soon as possible. Or if you are still at school, tell a teacher or visit the student support centre and tell them your situation.

There are many options out there to help get you back home, if that’s the best place for you, and it’s safe to go back. You maybe offered family mediation or a referral to Turnaround, both of these service can help you and your family move forward, and make it easier for you to return home.
