Tenants Voice is a group of tenants who contribute to and edit ‘Open House’, the Council’s tenant newsletter.  This is delivered to every tenant and leaseholder living in the borough of Tamworth.

The ‘Open House’ newsletter keeps our tenants informed about services while providing relevant and up-to-date information.  Actions from this group are fed back to the Tenant Consultative Group.

Four editions of 'Open House' newsletters are produced annually and covers articles about tenant events, estate walkabouts, training opportunities, how to pay your rent and housing services.

What has the group achieved so far?

• Involved in producing a wide range of tenant involvement leaflets  .
• Attended free training on producing newsletters and publicity.
• Reviewed all service standards
• Involved with the tenant recruitment drive. which saw 59 new members get involved

The group are aiming to have increased editorial control of Open House.
