Private Sector Landlords Forum
Calling all Landlords! Are you a Private Sector
Landlord with properties in Tamworth? Then why not come along to
our Landlord Forum?
Tamworth Borough Council hosts a Private Sector Landlord forum
on a quarterly basis throughout the year. These forums are a good
way of updating landlords on current changes in legislation and
council-led initiatives. The forum also provides an effective arena
in which to exchange news, views and experiences, both with us and
with other landlords.
We find at least one guest speaker for each forum who will
be an expert in their particular field – previous forums have
featured talks on landlord accreditation, legal procedures in
evictions, tax issues affecting private landlords and the
police highlighting how to spot houses which are being used as
cannabis factories.
All meetings of the forum are held at the new Tamworth
Community Fire Station in Marlborough Way. Refreshments are
provided and minutes and agendas are sent out prior to the
meetings. There is also free car parking.
Attendance is free and open to all private landlords and
property owners who rent property in Tamworth, whether you own one
property or 100. If you would like to join the mailing list to
receive newsletters and information on forthcoming forums,
please contact Marilyn McNally, Landlord Liaison and Empty Homes
Officer on 01827 709345 or email housingstrategy@tamworth.gov.uk
The next meeting is to be held on Tuesday April
17 at 9.30am for coffee with a 9.45 start
at Tamworth Fire Station, Marlborough
Way. Guest speakers from Gas Safe and HMRC are
attending.
