Estate Management team

The Estate Management Team is committed to making Tamworth housing estates a place where people are proud and happy to live.

To improve our housing estates and deliver customer focussed services the Estate Management Team provide the following services:

  • Dealing with Tenancy Matters - Provide good advice and assistance in helping tenants with their tenancy issues i.e. sole and joint tenancy matters, succession, using your home, gardens and mutual exchanges, mortgage reference, right to buy applications, parking permits,  
  • Enforcing Tenancy Conditions & Tackling Anti Social Behaviour - Tackle nuisance, anti social behaviour and breach of tenancy conditions, as we are committed to helping tenants if they are suffering from anti social behaviour or neighbour nuisance.
  • Maintaining Estates - Organise and invite you to a series of estate walkabout in your area to identify the environmental issues that are causing particular concerns to local people. Estate Walkabouts are intended to give residents and Tamworth Borough Council officers the chance to work together to make the estates a better place to live.
  • Carry out monthly estate inspection to monitor the condition of our estates and communal areas. The Housing Officer and a member of the Caretaking Team will inspect each street at least 3 times a year and agreeing an action plan in partnership with tenants, councillors and other key local stakeholders if an issue arises e.g. abandoned vehicles, identifying untidy gardens.
  • Work with tenants on local community projects to enhance and improve the safety and cleanliness of communal areas i.e. estate litter picks.
  • Work in partnership with others to make the community safer i.e. Police, Street Wardens.
  • Managing the `Gardening Assistance Scheme` for elderly and disabled tenants whose personal circumstances makes it impossible for them to deal with their own garden maintenance.  For further information on this service go to the 'Garden Assistant Scheme' link in the More Information table on the right of this page.
