The green bins are collected every other week, alternating with the household waste black bins. To find out more about your bin collection day please visit the Recycle for Tamworth website.

The green bins are for garden waste such as grass clippings and prunings and now also food waste.

To help store your food waste before it goes in the green bin we have provided you with a kitchen caddy.

What can go in my caddy?

You can recycle all your food waste including: bread and pastries, tea and coffee grounds, dairy, fish, fruit and vegetables, meat and bones.

Do not put any DIY waste in the bin such as bricks, rubble or timber. Do not put any soil in the bin.

NB. Please note that if your collection day falls on a bank holiday Monday then the collection will take place on the previous Saturday.
