Tenders and contracts
Tamworth Borough Council spends in the region
of £25m per year on a variety of goods and services.
These vary from small one–off purchases to
large formally tendered contracts. Value for money is always a
prime consideration and we actively encourage suppliers to
contribute towards achieving this goal.
Whether you are a small or large company, we
are keen to hear about the goods and services you can provide.
This brief guide aims to provide
suppliers with a basic overview of how they can compete for a share
of TBC’s business.
For purchases between £2K and £10K, we will
usually request written quotes via our In-tend e-procurement
website.
We also use the In-tend website to advertise our contract
requirements for purchases anticipated to approach or exceed £10K
and which may require a formal tendering process. Depending
on the value of a contract, the market size and perceived risk to
the Council, suppliers may be requested to complete a
Pre-Qualification Questionnaire (PQQ) prior to being evaluated for
short listing to the tender process.
To view a list of any live quotes and tenders
visit our In-tend webpage and click on ‘Current Tenders’. However,
to access associated documentation, your organisation must be
registered on the Tamworth In-tend system. This only takes a
few minutes and is required once only. Other staff within the
registering organisation can have their access rights added or
removed as desired.
Once you have registered your company, an
email confirmation and password will be forwarded to you. By
logging on to the website, clicking on ‘Current Tenders’ from the
‘Tenders’ drop down menu you will be able to view all current live
quote and tender opportunities. If you find something of
interest click on the ‘Express Interest’ button. You will
almost immediately receive a confirmation e-mail informing you
that documents relating to the selected opportunity are now
available for you to view. The documents may now be viewed by
clicking on the “My Tenders” button found in the “Tenders” drop
down menu. Expressing an interest does not commit you to
anything.
All communications relating to a requirement
on the website that you are in the process of tendering for, must
be conducted as correspondence via In-tend.
There are over 100 organisations across the UK
advertising via In-tend. If you would like to see these other
potential opportunities please visit In-tend at http://www.in-tend.com/.
