Your views needed to help decide Homelink future
Cabinet members recently voted in favour of a
consultation which will be carried out to
assess the Homelink service and are urging members of the
public to get involved. The consultation will be lead by the Bridge
Group and will be an opportunity for all service users and their
families to shape what the service could look like in the future.
Councillor Mary Oates, Portfolio Holder for Quality of Life urges
you to get involved, “Putting together a set of service
requirements, that customers have informed, is crucial if we are to
maintain high levels of service - the only way we can assess this
is if customers tell us what they value and need the most from
Homelink”
Market testing of the service was approved by
members in March and will allow councillors to make an informed
decision as to whether the Council is the best possible provider to
adequately meet the needs of those using on the Homelink service.
Social Services will also be consulted on whether they want to join
with the Council in this market testing exercise.
If you would like to be involved and have your
say contact Free phone 0800 988 2823 or visit the Housing
page where you can download a copy of the survey and provide
feedback and comments about the service. The consultation will
finish at the end of August, where officers will have a Housing
stand at the Summer Festival on 30 August to discuss this and other
landlord developments.
