Housing Team tackles Belgrave Teamwork
Tamworth Borough Council’s Housing Estate
Management Team and Estate Caretaking Team took part in a two-day
Operation Teamwork in Belgrave in August. Operation Teamwork is a
partnership initiative involving Tamworth Borough Council, the
Police, Fire and Rescue Service, Youth Services and other
organisations who work together to tackle as many problems as
possible in an area during an intensive two day operation.
An average of 17 residents in each street were
asked to identify issues they most felt were in need of
intervention. A total of 499 Customer Contact Records were
completed along with 31 Environmental Audits prior to the
Operation.

Every street was inspected and every issue highlighted and
reported.
- ·
Several residents received letters for overgrown gardens or for
rubbish on gardens.
- ·
Joint visits were carried out with the Police to
perpetrators of anti social behaviour.
- ·
Bulky items were removed from general areas and from residents’
gardens.
- ·
Graffiti was removed from smaller areas i.e. junction boxes and
lampposts.
- ·
Garages and empty properties were checked for security.
- ·
Bin store areas were cleared of rubbish.
