Homelink service gets seal of approval
Tamworth Borough Councils Homelink service has once again achieved TSA (TelecareHomelink staff with Cllr Mary Oates Services Association) accreditation. Homelink is the Council’s 24 hour community alarm service providing customers with the reassurance and confidence help is at hand 24 hours a day 365 days a year. The service underwent an annual maintenance inspection at the end of April 2009 where the TSA auditors found that Homelink met all of the requirements of the Telecare Services Association Code of Practice Strategic Framework and Part One – Telecare Calls Handling Requirements.

“Tamworth Borough Council use high quality equipment which works alongside your own telephone supported by a 24 hour monitoring service 7 days a week, every single day of the year” said Councillor Mary Oates, portfolio holder for quality of Life. “Within seconds of pressing the button on the telephone or pendant the operator will answer the call and instantly know who is calling and be able to assist them. Perhaps the most important feature of Homelink is the team of highly trained dedicated caring operators at the 24 hour monitoring centre providing constant service round the clock whenever it is needed. I would like to congratulate all of the staff who have helped us to achieve this accreditation.”
