Belgrave estate walkabout
Belgrave residents got involved and had their say on
how to improve their neighbourhood when they took part in two
walkabouts.
The residents joined housing officers,
caretakers, police, Streetscene and other organisations last
Thursday as they walked around the streets of Belgrave to identify
problems and make suggestions on how to improve the estate.
The walkabouts were the latest in as series
organised by Tamworth Borough Council to give people the chance to
make a difference in their neighbourhoods by highlighting issues
they were concerned about.
All the issues raised by the residents and
identified during the walkabout have now been put into an action
plan. Improvement work based on the action plan is already being
carried out by the council’s caretaking team.
Anyone who feels their estate would benefit
from a walkabout should contact Tamworth Borough Council’s tenant
involvement team on 01827 709448 or email tenantinvolvement@tamworth.gov.uk
