Businesses in Tamworth are being urged to boost their
success by visiting an exhibition staged by Tamworth Borough
Council and other local authorities and organisations.
The Business Generator is a revamped version
of the successful Winning Business event, now in its seventh year.
It is being staged on Tuesday November 16 by Tamworth Borough
Council in conjunction with Lichfield District Council, East
Staffordshire Borough Council and Southern Staffordshire Chamber of
Commerce and Industry.
Last year’s event attracted more than 500
delegates and an estimated £500,000 worth of business has been
created since its launch.
This year’s event will focus on knowledge,
skills, innovation, business opportunities and support. It will
bring together a range of speakers and exhibitors including the
Federation of Small Businesses, Big Splash, Crayfish Designs and
Supalite Displays.
The free event, which this year is being held
at the Meadowside Leisure Centre in Burton-upon-Trent, will include
displays from more than 70 organisations. It will feature 12 free
seminars covering all aspects of sales and marketing, as well as a
new Meet the Buyers area, which will give delegates the opportunity
to network throughout the day. A new workshop called the Innovation
Factory will give delegates the chance to create new business ideas
and products and develop them ready for launch – all on the
day.
Welcoming the latest initiative to boost
Tamworth businesses, Cllr Steve Claymore, Tamworth Borough Council
Cabinet Member for Economic Development and Enterprise, said: “The
Business Generator will bring enormous opportunities to inspire and
develop business growth in Tamworth and as a council, we are
delighted to be once again playing our part in it.
“I would encourage as many businesses – large
and small – in Tamworth to take advantage of this opportunity to
improve and develop.”
The Business Generator runs from 8am to 4pm on
