Statement of Accounts
One of the main ways a local authority communicates its
financial performance to local stakeholders and the wider community
is through its published financial statements.
Each year, the Council is legally required to produce the
Statement of Accounts, which provides a detailed review of the
Council's financial activity during the financial year. Inevitably,
the majority of the information is highly complex and is of a
technical nature, satisfying both statutory requirements and local
authority procedures.
The Council has produced summary accounts in order to keep
council tax payers informed about our financial position and is
seeking the views of residents and stakeholders to establish if the
information provided is what people wish to see in the summary
accounts.
A copy of the Statement of Accounts and the Summary
Accounts can be downloaded from the link at the right of this
page.
