Council budgets and spending
Tamworth Borough Council operates it services on an annual
budget of £64m gross revenue expenditure (£44m General Fund (net of
tariff payable to Government), £20m Housing Revenue Account).
This is derived primarily from: £22m in Government Benefit
Grants, £4m in Government Support, £18m from Council Housing rents,
£13m from other rents, fees & charges and other income and £3m
from Council Tax.
The Capital programme for 2013/14 totals £7.5m (£7.0m Housing,
£0.5m General fund).
The Council Tax for 2013/14 is £1,425.00 for band D
(representing £1027.25 for Staffordshire County Council, £177.61
for Staffordshire Police Authority, £67.64 for Stoke-on-Trent &
Staffordshire Fire and Rescue Authority and £152.50 for Tamworth
Borough Council Services
