14-19 Partnership
In 2005 the government published the 14-19 Education and Skills
White Paper which outlined a programme of reform focusing on how
young people would learn between the ages of 14-19 years old. The
Tamworth 14-19 Partnership provides strategic leadership and
responds to the challenges of 14-19 reform.
The partnership meets regularly to discuss a number of issues
relating to the development of education and training provision.
In 2008, the Partnership and the Borough Council approved the
14-19 Education
Plan, covering the period up to 2013. This includes the
schedule for the implementation of the new Diploma
qualifications.
The 14-19 Partnership is comprised of all key local stakeholders
including schools, colleges, training providers and information,
advice and guidance services.
