About the Partnership

The Tamworth Local Strategic Partnership brings together the key providers of services from across Tamworth to address the complex challenges needed to improve the quality of life for the communities of Tamworth. The partnership provides a platform to discuss, debate and progress issues that will make a difference to the area.

Tamworth Local Strategic Partnership comprises a number of key agencies working within Tamworth from the public, private, voluntary and community sectors.

The partnership has been structured to ensure that it is fit for purpose to deliver on the outcomes of the Local Area Agreement (LAA) and the emerging priorities within the Sustainable Community Strategy (SCS).

The Tamworth structure incorporates 6 themed blocks:

• Business & Economic Partnership
• Sustainable Environments
• Housing

• Good access to community facilities and shops
• Strong, healthy and vibrant communities, with opportunities for all to engage in community life

Our Purpose

The purpose of Tamworth’s Local Strategic Partnership is to:

• To provide strategic co-ordination and linking other plans and bodies at local, sub regional and regional levels
• Prepare and implement a Sustainable Community Strategy that provides a long term framework for action to benefit all the people of Tamworth
• Work with Staffordshire County Council and other key partners to develop and deliver the outcomes of the Countywide Local Area Agreement.
