There are three of us in the South team: Brian, Steve and James. We patrol a big area of the Borough incorporating Belgrave, Wilnecote, Stonydelph, Hockley, Kettlebrook, Dosthill, Two Gates and Borrowpit Lake. We are based at the New community Fire Station Belgrave, which gives us a good central base to plan our daily patrols.

We mainly patrol on foot and bikes but sometimes use the Street Warden car and Arriva Buses.

You might not see us patrolling every single street in our "patch", but we will target particular streets or areas that have had problems reported to us. These could be anti-social behaviour, ball games, damage, abandoned vehicles, fly-tipping, dog fouling, vandalism and fly-posting.

We also have a range of enforcement powers which allow us to issue fixed penalty notices for fly-tipping, littering, dog fouling and fly-posting.

We are constantly looking to improve the local environment for ALL residents and can collect information of evidence on littering, fly tipping, damage to bus shelters, phone boxes, street signs or street lights. We will then pass this information on to ensure the problem is dealt with or repaired.

We spend time in primary and secondary schools where we give educational presentations on bullying, litter, and the role of a Street Warden. A recent project we were involved in was the ‘Ziggy Zaggy’ initiative, which involved giving advice followed by warnings to anyone who parked on yellow lines, Zig Zag lines, and pavements close to schools.

We also organise litter picks in conjunction with “The Big Tidy Up”, encouraging communities to get involved in improving areas. Several successful litter picks resulted in residents making a great difference to their environment in Wilnecote, Stonydelph, and Belgrave

We work with the police and Community Support Officers and take part in joint initiatives with other agencies to reduce crime and fear of crime and improve local facilities for ALL!! You will see us at the Kettlebrook, Dosthill, Wilnecote, Stoneydelph and Belgrave PACT meetings every month.

Belgrave PACT is held at the Baptist church in Derwent at 7:00pm on the 2nd Thursday in the month.

Kettlebrook PACT is held in Kettlebrook working men's club Tame Street at 7:00pm on the 2nd Monday in the month.

Stonydelph PACT is held in the Stonydelph Arch, Craven on the last Tuesday in the month at 7:30pm.

Wilnecote PACT is held on the last Wednesday on the month at Wilnecote high school at 7:00pm.

Dosthill PACT is held on the last Thursday of the month in the Norman chapel, Church Road, Dosthill at 7:00pm.
