Participatory Budgeting
Your Voice, Your Choice

Participatory Budgeting (also known as
PB) gives the
community the opportunity to decide what services are
delivered in Amington. PB has been run in Stonydelph, Glascote and
Belgrave, offering up to £20,000 in each area. The money has funded
some great projects which have really benefited the communities.
Now it is Amington’s turn.
How does PB work?
It's quite simple. Organisations who have some
great ideas apply for the fund, their ideas are put to the public
vote, and the community votes by attending one of two voting events
where they are handed a wad of £20,000 Tamworth notes which
is used for voting. The organisations with the most votes will get
their hands on the funding which they require.
How to apply?
If you are a organisation with a great idea
for a community project for Amington, you can apply for an
application form by email to the Amington Community Development
Officer on yasser-din@tamworth.gov.uk
or call 01827 709 388 and request an application pack.
